Believe it or not, it is possible
to structure your day to make time to connect with the
sacred. On our show, Lama Surya Das and Sheri Meyers
Gantman explore the pragmatic applications of Buddhism
and explain how adopting spiritual practices such as
meditation can help you stay connected to the sacred
in yourself and bring you the relaxation, centeredness
and internal quiet so lacking in today's fast paced
world.
According to Lama Surya Das, "The
key to building a spiritual life, is living a spiritual
life--each and everyday." It's not as hard
as you think. You can use the elements, resources
and tools already around you. For example, you can begin
to awaken your connection to the sacred by applying
enlightened principles such as being more mindful and
kind at work, doing inner work, having a sense of humor,
paying attention to exercise and diet and living a more
healthy, sane and loving life .
Want to know more? In our
show, Lama Surya Das and Sheri discuss:
Making time each day for practices
like meditation, yoga, visualization and prayers can
help you find your own inner truth and that beautiful
inner incandescence that is your true spiritual nature.
