Sex can be--is--much more than we ever imagined. Few people expect to encounter the Divine while making love, but it actually happens all the time. Probably one in every eight to twelve people will have a profound spiritual experience during sex at least once in their lives. In a research project conducted by my guest, Dr. Jenny Wade, many lovers report that they have had spontaneous altered states that occur during lovemaking in which they seem to go beyond, or transcend, the boundaries of the natural world and the normal limitations of self. These happenings are so counter to normal experience that the vast majority of lovers interviewed said that they viewed them as spiritual encounters in which they tapped into divine forces. Some of the transformational events reported were:

	Seeing visions. Experiencing waves of heat, energy and light.
	Feelings as though you are transported to other location.s
	Re-living past lives.
